There's too much to write about, let alone even contemplate, and I don't know where to begin: from the moral infamy of U.S. "detention centers" to the rape and rapine of truth and decency within our own supposedly "representative" establishment. There is no starting point to this assay of human perfidy; and, therefore there is no end. What is the subject of a cry of mortal betrayal? What should be its verb? How can I address an omniscopic outrage with a single topic?
I've been needled by certain activists to resume posting on this blog. I've let it lie dormant because I perceived that it was not generating the local input it was created to welcome. O.K.
Someone respond here, and I'll fire up. There are many issues and particulars but one common theme: fascistic control of the commonweal.

Oh Peg, I'm so glad I visited here this morning! If I can be of any inspiration to feed the fire of your writing, let me toss on some kindling. What I'm saying to friends these days is a word of caution, if indeed Democrats are seeing with some clarity finally. We can't depend merely on our critical thinking about the horrors of the Republicans. We need to have proposals of our own for the issues of the day. We need to do a lot of thinking about HOW to bring this country back into line!

MANY thanks for your response! Maybe real people will listen to sanity at last. "Democrats" are just as venal (or almost) as "Republicans," who are not Republicans but neo-con fascists. Let's SURGE to undergird the outraged movements of TRUE democats like Conyers and Boxer.
This takeover has gone too far, we MUST be outraged, and we need to move NOW.
That's a good point, Peg. Nobody can cover all the bases. There are too many outrages happening all at the same time.
I think it's a deliberate strategy : the political equivalent of basketball's Full Court Press.

Hi Peg C. - Just checking in and want you to know that I've always liked your comments on Brad Blog and Velvet Revolution (and I have commiserated with a fellow internet high-speed challenged commentor and blogger.)
Speaking of Democrats, I think they had better take some serious action now. Looks like Hillary Clinton and the DLC is really getting into gear to "Bush-Lite" the party. Sounds to me like the progressives better come up with some kind of "nuclear option" to stop it in its tracks and not let this thing get any traction.
Incidentally, I'm starting a blog, too. Don't expect much readership, but it will be a good exercise, anyway.
